Dental prophylaxis examination includes visual and X-ray examination of the teeth and gums. Specialists of our clinic advise to do it at least once a year. This procedure will help the patient to be regularly informed about the health of their teeth and, if needed, will allow eliminating dental problems in their early stages, whereas for the physician – regularly follow the health of the patient’s teeth and make more precise treatment plan, if it is needed

Procedure of the dental prophylactic examination

• During conversation a specialist inquiries a patient about his/her complaints and possible teeth or gum problems the patient worries about.
• The dentist visually inspects the patient’s teeth and records the health condition of the teeth and gums, as well as checks the gum health by determining the depth of the gum pockets using a special tool. That allows determining if any periodontal changes have not started.
• Any necessary dental x-ray examinations are done.

*Dental hygienic procedure is recommended before the dental prophylaxis examination.
